One day, sunrise to dusk. Read the day's story, follow the treasure map, and get your dog to bed happy.
A dog-care game where you read a story and solve riddles to find a treasure.
What it is. A gentle dog-care game with reading practice at a 1st-grade level. One day in the game takes about 15โ25 minutes. You can't lose: the day always ends with a score.
Reading. Each day has one story (10 short sentences over 5 pages) and 3 questions about it. Your child can hear a word by tapping it, or hear the whole page, earning 1 listen per page; unused listens carry over to later pages and the questions, so there's a reason to try sounding words out first. Skipping the story doesn't work: it comes back as the bedtime story. Every page read earns a โญ and every question answered earns a โญ. Stopping part-way keeps the stars already earned, and reopening carries on from where your child stopped.
Treasure hunt. 5 riddles, each with 4 answers. Your child can hear a word, the whole riddle or an answer, earning 1 listen per riddle, saved up if unused. The answer is a clue to a place in the game, so your child has to read and think before travelling there.
Weather reading. Tapping the weather opens a short article about it with 2 questions. It earns 1 listen per page (3 in all), saved up if unused. Right answers earn points, once per weather type each day. Puppies need reading: at night the puppies only come out if your child earned at least one star on the story and one on a weather article.
Reading level & theme. On the first screen pick a grade from K to 5th. Each grade has its own stories, and pages get longer as the grade goes up (from 2 tiny sentences in K to a full paragraph in 5th). Grades 3โ5 get 4 questions (main idea, vocabulary, inference) and harder riddles and science-based weather articles. Pick a theme too: any of the 4 seasons or any holiday (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Befana, Valentine's, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's, Easter, Earth Day, Cinco de Mayo, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Ferragosto), each with its own decorations, dog outfit, weather and matching stories. While a holiday is on (for example 10 Oct โ 2 Nov for Halloween) it's picked for you; otherwise the current season is. Each holiday has a treat: the dog-safe ones (๐ฅ ๐ ๐ ๐) go to the dog, and for the others (like ๐ซ or ๐ฌ) the game explains why they're not for dogs and gives him a ๐ฆด.
Planning. Every action takes time and changes the dog's needs. A good day balances playing and resting, and plans around the weather forecast.
Tips. Let your child read the story out loud to you. Ask "what does your dog need now?" Turn the sound up: the device's voice reads the words.
Privacy. No account, no ads and no internet needed after loading. Nothing is saved: every reload is a new day.
Stuck? Tap a word to hear it, or have the whole page read โ each one uses 1 of your 5 listens. Save them for the hard parts!
Hard word? Tap it to hear it, have the whole riddle read, or press ๐ next to an answer. Every riddle gives you 1 listen โ the ones you don't use are saved for later riddles.
